Dr. Tamra Soriano, O.D. OptometristDr. Tamra Soriano:
Dr. Tamra (Tami) Soriano earned her under undergraduate degree at Missouri State University. She then moved to St. Louis to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. She graduated with honors, received the Dean's award, and completed her 4 years as the valedictorian of her class. She also received the Kaplan Research Award and the Pediatric Award upon graduation from UMSL. Following graduation, Dr. Soriano worked for three years in St. Louis and briefly in Joplin before opening the doors of Carthage Eye Care in December of 1992. In 2011, she received the Athena Award from the Carthage Chamber of Commerce for being an outstanding example of compassion to women and children in need. Dr. Soriano is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Association. 
Dr. Soriano has been married to her husband, Greg, for 28 years. He teaches in the radiology technology program at Missouri Southern State University. Dr. Soriano also has two daughters, Kailie and Torie. Kailie is pursuing her masters in ABA analysis with a goal of working independently with autistic children. Torie is following in her mother's footsteps by attending the University of Missouri- St. Louis to become an optometrist. 
While she loves working in her office, one of Dr. Soriano's most fulfilling passions are medical mission trips. Dr. Soriano has been to Mexico, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Guatemala to give eye exams to those who simply don't have the necessary medical attention. These mission trips usually require a few helpers, so her family frequently joins her.
In her down time, Dr. Soriano loves to travel with family and friends. Some of her favorite destinations include Kauai, Hawaii and North Captiva Island in Florida. Dr. Soriano also loves watching crime shows with her daughters and cooking.

Dr. Michelle Pyle earned her undergraduate degree at Missouri Southern State University, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at Indiana University School of Optometry in 2003, where she was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. 
Dr. Pyle joined the Carthage Eye Care team in 2004. She has definitely shown her dedication and expertise. In 2012, she was voted as Favorite Eye Doctor in Carthage from the Carthage Press! She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Southwest Missouri Optometric Society. 
In her time away from the office, Dr. Pyle likes to spend time with her husband, Bryan, to whom she has been married to for 10 years. He is a computer programmer at Leggett & Platt. The two keep themselves very busy while raising twin boys. Luke and Logan were born in March of 2014, and are very happy, healthy, and growing babies! When they are not chasing their boys around, Dr. Pyle and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with friends, family, and their fur baby Gracey (their Maltese!).
